Hyelim appeared on SBS MobidicŌĆÖs YouTube channel and talked about her pre-debut past. Hyelim said, ŌĆ£For three years, I was preparing to debut in a different group. I was originally a miss A. Two months before I was set to debut, I was asked to join Wonder Girls.ŌĆØ She continued, ŌĆ£Even though I was smiling on stage, I felt sorry to the public because I was added into an already popular group and I had to take over the parts of other members.ŌĆØ When asked about her thoughts when Wonder Girls had a slump, Hyelim responded, ŌĆ£Even though I knew this wasnŌĆÖt the case, I constantly asked myself, ŌĆśIs Wonder Girls not doing well because I was added into the group?ŌĆÖ But I just tried my best on anything I had to do.ŌĆØ Hyelim explained that she joined Wonder Girls when she was just eighteen years old. She said she learned that she received hate comments from other people since her debut and was unknowingly hurt by them.
