On March 3 (local time), Google released a short video titled ŌĆ£First of Many ŌĆŌĆØ WomenŌĆÖs History Month 2021ŌĆ│ on its official youtube channel to commemorate WomenŌĆÖs History Month (an annual declared month that highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society) which is celebrated during March. This campaign video was made to commemorate the remarkable first achievements made by women who have continued to break the glass ceiling ŌĆō from first women astronauts, first Nobel Prize winners, and first women scientists to first women rappers, businesswomen, sportswomen, and mountain climbers. And CL, who made a surprise appearance with an image from her ŌĆ£+HWA+ŌĆØ music video, was introduced in the ŌĆ£first female rappersŌĆØ category alongside Sha Rock, Missy Elliott, Cardi B, and Megan Thee Stallion. CL first made her face known to the public by participating in Uhm Jung HwaŌĆÖs ŌĆ£DJŌĆØ as a featuring artist in 2008 and has since played a major role in marking the beginning of the K-pop golden age as the leader of the group 2NE1. She boldly moved to the U.S. in the middle of her heyday, started a new chapter, and became the first Korean female solo artist to reach 94th place on the Billboard Hot 100. Now, the queen is gearing for her grand comeback with a new album, Alpha.
